Obituary of Joseph G. Day

DAY, Joseph "Joe" G., Sr. Joseph "Joe" G. Day, Sr., 98, of Ocala, passed away on January 24, 2012 at Estelle's Hospice House. He was born on December 18, 1913 in Sumerduck, Virginia. He is survived by his son Joseph Day, Jr., of Ocala, two granddaughters; Lori Day of Ocala and Diane Barr of Mt. Zion, WV; two great granddaughters and six great-great grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Jean Day, who passed away September 10, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 30, 2012, at Barnes Cemetery, located on County Rd 312. Arrangements are under the direction of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
