Obituary of Richard Lee Stalnaker
Richard Lee "Dick" Stalnaker, age 75, of Ocala, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He was born in Rochester, NH on October 16, 1936 to William H. and Evelyn Shea Stalnaker. His family moved to Wildwood, FL when Dick was only 12 years old. After graduating from Wildwood High School in 1955, Dick joined the US Army where her served most of his time in Germany. After completing his military service, Dick worked in Route Sales with Coca-Cola and Dandee Bread Co. in Ocala, FL. He spent 45 years in Automobile Sales for his brother Bill at Ocala Lincoln Mercury. Mr. Stalnaker is survived by his wife of 50 years Sandra Stalnaker, daughter Melanie Stalnaker Hitchcock and her husband Tom, son Seth Stalnaker and his wife Lisa, grandson Phoenix Stalnaker, niece Cindy Lacasse, great nieces Lacy Sapp and Christy Santi, 2 great great nieces, 2 great great nephews and several other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother William R. "Bill" Stalnaker. Dick liked NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves, the Florida Gators, quail hunting and golfing. A memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 10:30am.
