Obituary of Earl Newton Keck
Earl Newton Keck, age 86, of Live Oak, FL passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012. He was born in Speedville, TN on November 26, 1925. Earl served 6 years in the US Navy and 17 years in the US Coast Guard during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He moved to Florida from Monroe, MI in 1961. Earl was a member of the Paisley VFW and Cedar Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by daughters Darlene Dempsey and Kimberly Stratton, son James Keck, Sr., step-daughters Ruby Dennis, Pat Norris and Barbara Jean McCullough, step-son Jerry Morris, sisters Sybil Lidster, Betty Weller and Charolette Lambert, step-son Thomas Marsh, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Eloise Keck. A funeral service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 1pm. A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from Noon until the time of the service at 1pm. Interment will take place at Waldena Cemetery.
