Obituary of Richard Donald Stroub

Richard “Dick” Donald Stroub, 80, died July 3, 2023, with his daughter by his side. He was a lifelong resident of Flushing, Mich. and worked more than 30 years at General Motors before retiring to Ocala, Fla. in 2000. Dick was a University of Michigan football fan and attended every home game for many years. He was a proud Army veteran, enjoyed serving in the Cherrywood Veterans Club and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 46 years, Carol. He is survived by two brothers: Ron, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Gary, of Flushing, Mich. Dick is lovingly remembered as the father of Lisa (Rod) McGinnes of Ocala. A memorial will be held at Florida National Cemetery.
