Obituary of Norma Jean Carter

Norma Jean Carter, 86, of Ocala, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023, at her home in Ocala, Florida. She was born February 19, 1937, to Herbert Glenn Richmond and Marie (Yost) Richmond in Moundsville, West Virginia.

In her younger years she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, and singing karaoke. She attended church at Cornerstone of Ocala. As an occupation she enjoyed remodeling houses.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Marvin and Jim Richmond.

Norma is survived by her children, sons Lawrence (Betty) Carter of (Ocala, FL) and Kevin (Jeannette) Sawyers of (Austintown, Ohio); Grandchildren Kyle Carter of (Ocala, FL), Sierra (Tyler) Colclough of (Ocala FL), Kevin Sawyers Jr. and Josh Sawyers of (Austintown, Ohio), longtime companion Henry (Hank) Kurtz of (Ocala, FL)

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 beginning at 12:00PM at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 5050 SW 20th Street, Ocala, Fl 34474.  

The family suggests that donations may be made in her name to (Hospice of Marion County)
