Obituary of Nenita Vergara

Nenita Vergara, 78, of Ocala Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 6:53 PM. Nenita was born in the Philippines and has lived in Ocala since 1997. Nenita worked as a registered nurse at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn New York for 27 years. She received a service award from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn. She retired at the age of 52. She was a member of the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Nenita enjoyed sewing and shopping. She loved going to Las Vegas and Seminole Casino at Tampa. Survivors include her daughter, Aileen Vergara of Ocala, and son, James Vergara of Ocala. A funeral ceremony will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 8:30 AM. Viewing will be on July 16, 2023 Sunday  at 4 PM at Hiers Baxley 910 S. E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, Florida. Nenita will be laid to rest privately at Highland Memorial Park in Ocala. Arrangements are being  held by Hiers Baxley funeral services 910 S. E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL.
