Obituary of Jimmie Otis Head Jr

Jimmie Otis Head, Jr. 79, of Ocala, Florida passed away on June 27, 2023 after a courageous battle with pulmonary disease.

Jim was born in Miami, Florida to the late Jimmie and Kathleen Head. Jim retired from Marion County Sherriff’s Office Fleet Management, afterwards Jim became a successful Real Estate Broker. Jim enjoyed boating, fishing, and drag racing, as well as, spending time with his beloved family.

Jim is survived by his wife, Flossie Head, and sons, Steven (Margaret) Head of Ocala, Florida and Thomas (Jessica) Head of Cape Coral, Fl., Granddaughter, Christina Cress of Raleigh, NC. Stepchildren: Donna Brown of Silver Springs, Fl., David (Shari) Sleeth of Weirsdale, Fl. and Donita Brinton of Ocala, Florida. Jim also has 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie Otis Head, Sr. and Kathleen Head, and sister Regina Green.

Services will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, Fl. on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 2:00pm
