Obituary of Robert Neil Charron
Robert “Bob” Neil Charron 64, of Ocklawaha passed away on Tuesday April 11th, 2023. Bob was born March 4th, 1959 to Roma Giles and Yvette Theresa in Barre, VT. He grew up in Ocala, FL where he enjoyed auto mechanics, fishing, and spending time with his siblings. Following his eldest brother to Ohio to pursue a career in elevator mechanics, he worked in the industry for 35 years. Through his long career, Bob was incredibly proud to be part of the International Union of Elevator Constructors. Shortly after his move to Ohio, he married the love of his life, Debbie on April 19th 1986 who he lovingly called “Pittyness” for 36 years. He had many hobbies and interests including playing the drums, home projects, Old Western movies, fishing, listening to classic rock and meticulously maintaining his extensive tool collection. Though Bob found joy in his hobbies, he found the most joy in being a devoted husband, a loving father to his 3 daughters, and a doting GrandPie to his granddaughter. Preceded in death by his Father Roma Giles Charron, Step Father Gerald Thomas Hooper, Brothers Ronnie and Ray Charron, and Mother Yvette Charron-Hooper, Bob is lovingly remembered and survived by a large family including his loving wife: Debbie, Daughters: Courtney (Monk), Brittany (Blondie), and Bobbie (Loop). His Granddaughter Madi Oktavec (CutiePie), Siblings: Richard (Judy), Roberta (Daniel) Aggers and Randall (Nadine). Other survivors include 20 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews.
