Obituary of Karen F. Schlentner

Karen F. Schlentner, 80, of Silver Springs, Florida passed away at Ocala Regional Medical Center on September 10, 2021. She was born November 30, 1940, the daughter of the late William and Katherine Leslie.  In 1960, she married her loving husband Walter and together the two shared many years of love and happiness.  Karen was a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before moving to the Ocala/Marion County area in 1973. Karen retired from the Marion County School System in 2002.  She never met a stranger and would talk to just about anyone.  Karen enjoyed spending her time watching baseball and doing puzzles.   She will be remembered fondly for her love of butterflies.  

Karen is survived by her husband, Walter Ronald Schlentner;  her sister, Kathy Sutton (Bruce);  her children, Ronald Schlentner (Theresa), Rebecca Penuel (Jeffery) and Robert Schlentner; her grandchildren, Jessica Schlentner, Hollie Penuel, Samantha Schlentner, Robert Schlentner and Zachary Penuel; her great-grandchildren, Hailey, Alayna, Gia and Charlye.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Renee.
