Grandmom Franny – the role model the world needs today.
She was the definition of politically correct before it was even a thing. Never once let me get away with saying something bad about someone as a kid. Taught me how to be accepting of all people and never judge. Riding the SEPTA buses and trains since she couldn't drive, I learned how to socialize with all walks of life that sat next to us. She would spark up conversations with anyone, she did not judge by any race, gender or language. If you were behind her in the grocery store line, you just became her buddy for the next 5 minutes. If you sat next to her on the bus, you just got a new friend for the ride. If you came to her house, you always felt welcomed and left with a full belly, invite was open anytime.
She was a 5 star chef in the kitchen, a world class mother, grandmom, wife, aunt, sister, friend and a sense of humor way ahead of her time. She was the glue of the family. Her life lessons passed down to us we never realized at the time were shaping us into better people. She was someone despite not having a car or being able to drive, was able to get to every family members major events, get a card to you for a holiday in the mail with days to spare, knew everyone's schedule in the family and had the bus time schedule memorized on how to get anywhere in the city to help out if it was needed. "Matt I’ll be at the corner at 3:14, meet me there and will get on this bus and be at the mall by 3:47 to get your game" She was the definition of selflessness, empathy, compassion, integrity, humility and class. She always helped me see the bigger picture to life and give guidance and wisdom.
I've missed our date night dinners the past 2 years, being surprised at whatever delicious meal you had on the menu to make followed by a cup of black coffee and dessert. Sometimes maybe even having 1 too many white Russians and helping you get upstairs to bed! You will be missed grandmom, words could never thank you enough for helping me become who I am today. Love you. Matt

My Aunt Fran was always a saint, and now she is our angel. My relationship with my dear Aunt Fran began when I was born and before I even left the hospital. I had jaundice as a baby and had to stay in the hospital for a number of days for monitoring. My Aunt Fran visited me every single day I was there and would hold me. She was an amazing person in every possible way who deeply loved her family and would do anything for anyone. We are so blessed to have Aunt Fran in our family. She has been the glue to the family that has brought everyone together. She loved cooking and baking, and I mean it that she was the best cook and baker in town! She could whip up whatever was in the fridge and turn it to a gourmet meal. She loved having people over and inviting the whole family over for Easter brunch, where she would thoughtfully prepare items she knew each person liked. I will always remember how delicious she made Chicken Parm. Also, I remember one time John and I stayed over as kids and woke up to the best pancakes I’ve had yet to this date. Aunt Fran would always say that she makes everything with “love.” She surely did! Aunt Fran was a loving aunt, mother, sister, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and what she loved most in life was her family! She was always so kind and selfless. She liked crossword puzzles, romance novels, hot coffee, NCIS, and Young & the Restless. She also enjoyed going to movies, and I enjoyed asking her if she saw any good movies that came out. I remember Aunt Fran taking John and I on the bus to see Agent Cody Bank and then out to Pizza Hut afterwards. We all have so many memories we will always cherish! She was a holy woman with a great sense of humor. I remember taking her to church one occasion at St. Jerome and my aunt being a celebrity there and excited to introduce me to her church friends. She told them I was a teacher and that she is proud of me. When I was in elementary school, Aunt Fran came for a very special person event. She had a heart of gold and will always be very special to my heart. Aunt Fran lived a great life and is dearly loved! The comfort is she is now reunited with her husband Jack and her parents! Aunt Fran, May you rest now in God’s eternal love and watch over us until we meet again... Love, David

Our sister Fran was one heck of a woman. I loved her as my sister but we shared a friendship that was like good friends. We went to the movies, shopped, did silly things and laughed heartily. She encouraged me to drive in the city. I don't like to have to be in the right spot to catch the lights at every block. The drive to Philadelphia (68) miles had less than 8 lights. That I could handle.
Sometimes my husband and I would go to Philadelphia when he got home from work. Even if we arrived at their dinner time Fran would add a few potatoes and somehow made a meal for 2 into a meal for 4. That was part of her magic. When her husband would host a little party for his staff at Lulu temple, Fran would bring her china for the party. She felt that they deserved better than paper items for these events. She was great with arranging flowers and made sure that there was a Fran-made centerpiece for the buffet table. There are so many people who will miss her!
