Obituary of E. Irene McLaughlin

E. Irene McLaughlin, 67, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2020. She has now joined in Heaven her father, Alton Burch; mother, Lena Mae Jones and her siblings, Buster, Wanda and Theresa.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas McLaughlin; daughter, Amy (Randy) Maddox; son, Jason (Debbie) Modlin; stepsons, Christopher McLaughlin and Sean McLaughlin; 4 grandchildren, Kayden, Cody, Blake, Chase and 4 step-grandchildren. She was a loving, dedicated Mother and Nana to her family.

She was born on February 25, 1953 in Miami, FL. She lived for the Lord and was a devoted Sister to her church family of many years at Souls Harbor First Pentecostal Church. She had a passion for cooking and collecting cookbooks. She loved having lunch and hanging out as one of the three amigos. Being a breast cancer survivor, she was always there for a friend in need doing the same. Her memories will forever be cherished by her friends and family.

There will be a viewing on Tuesday, August 18 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Social Distancing will be observed. Graveside service will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 19 at Highland Memorial Park.
