Obituary of Harry Ray Schwender
Harry Ray Schwender, 85, of Ocklawaha, FL passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Harry was born in Huntington, West Virginia to Harry C. and Mildred Schwender. He was a computer specialist and worked at Kennedy Space Center from the 1950’s until his retirement. He moved to Ocklawaha around 2000 from Cocoa, FL and was a member of First Baptist Church of Belleview. Harry was an avid knife collector, liked to fish, and enjoyed travelling to his cabin in Tennessee.
Harry was predeceased by his daughter Patti, son Kevin, and his brother Johnny.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Schwender, two sons; Stephen Schwender and Tony (Carrie)Hensley, 3 grandchildren; Natalie Carter, Zane Hensley, and Kayla Card-Neeley, and sister Becky.
Funeral services will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services of Ocala from 6-8pm on Thursday, August 1, 2019. Mr. Schwender will be buried at Fentress Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, TN.
