Obituary of Coach James “Jim" F. Haley

Coach James “Jim” F. Haley, (THE CHIEF), 74 of Ocala, FL passed away on Sunday, Nov 4^th. Jim was born in Joliet, IL. Coach was the retired basketball coach at Vanguard High School, he led the school to 3 State Championships, and was the founder of the Kingdom of the Sun Basketball Tournament, and is a member of the Florida High School Basketball Hall of Fame, along with many numerous awards and accomplishments.

Jim is survived by his wife Nancy and devoted brother Jack Haley and a host of many beloved friends.

Coach Haley’s celebration of life service will be on Saturday, Nov 17^th at the Vanguard High School Gym named after Coach Haley as “The Chief” at 3:00 pm, the doors open to the gym at 2:00 pm.
